"This trip was very exciting for me.  Hiking up and down the hills, riding in the back of a pickup truck as it navigated the dirt roads (or trails), riding on a bota bota, taking a boat ride across Lake Victoria, meeting all 118 children in our program and seeing how their lives have been changed was a priceless experience.  I do not know when I will have another opportunity to go to another country with my Nannie (grandma), dad and daughter; but I will treasure that experience that we had.  Seeing the wounds on the legs and feet of the children inspired me to research it and try to find a solution that we can bring to the community.  I want to see this ugly disease erraticated from Kanungu."

"It was exciting.  It was kind of funny when the bus driver got arrested.  I enjoyed meeting our kids.  I enjoyed the bota botas, but not the boat ride.  The bota botas are their motorcycles taxis.  I felt helpful when I was helping cleam the wounds."

"I am so humbled to know that God let me experience this trip.  I felt lost at times, blessed at times and over-whelmed at times.

  My desire is to mature to a level of faith that I lay down the agenda and flow freely in what God has for me to do.  I know that I missed things, but I know that God is a forgiving God and will take care of the things that I missed.  

It is hard to separate culture with needs.  I just want to see each of these little ones know the name of Jesus and realize that He is the way and the life.  I want to see them in heaven on golden streets. 

Auntie Bettie is doing a wonderful job doing that along with all the others that pour their lives into the work of the Lord there in Uganda. 

I want to do more but I do not know what that looks like of even what that means.I want to be involved in some way.
